The Retail Web Technology organization provides a high quality, common platform for all Schwab clients including advisors, individuals, and active investors. Each Retail Web Technology engineering team is responsible for test strategy and planning, authoring test plans and scripts, and automating functional and regression testing as part of our goal to deliver best-in-class features on Schwab.com. What you’ll do:

Are you a highly skilled, QA-focused Software Developer? Do you live the ATDD dream, and share our expertise writing excellent automation using WebdriverIO, Protractor, or Ruby? We'd love to tell you more. Your responsibilities would include:

Implement standard methodologies, resolve test issues, track and prioritize defects, record test results, participate in product readiness and release decisionsEnsure automation is constantly running, analyzing, and promptly reporting on failuresParticipate in technical governance and help facilitate overall product quality standards with development and business teamsFoster our end-to-end testing approach across multiple applicationsResearch, investigate, and implement Agile testing practices, Test Driven Development, Test Automation and reporting Test MetricsAmplify our philosophy to consistency communicate and report with a quality emphasisLiaise with product teams, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to integrate project plans, testing schedules, and metrics reportingAssist in driving Use Case and User Story reviews, and help resolve requirements ambiguitiesPartner with geographically-distributed teams to plan our future QA tooling and technology decisionsWhat you have

Required

8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance5+ years developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scriptsSolid understanding of QA practices (black box testing, risk-based testing, system testing, regression testing, exploratory testing)Hands-on coding experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Ruby, Java, C# or other object-oriented programming languagesExperience with Selenium WebDriver, Angular UI testing (Protractor, WebdriverIO), or similarExperience with Agile development practicesAbility to participate in product code reviews

Preferred

Experience with Gherkin language, like Cucumber, JBehave, or SpecFlowUnderstanding of CI/CD practices and Lean DevOps methodologiesFamiliarity with Bamboo and GitFinancial/Trading services industry interest is a plus
