Your Focus
Independently develop flavours in line with business needs and in response to customer brief and strategic priorities. Demonstrate leadership in working with global R&D to maximise IFF technology and innovative practices. Participate in development programs for both trainee and junior Seasoning Flavourists.

How you will contribute

Strategy and Business Knowledge

Interact with R&D to guide and commercialise key technologies essential for new innovation both internally and externallyInteract with all customers internal/external, domestic and internationalKnowledge and understanding of regional taste differences and is able to apply to work appropriately as well as advise othersUtilise IFF technology to deliver unique solutions to the marketplace

Creation/Project Management

Demonstrate leadership role in creation projects and initiatives – regional/globalProactive in using new materials and advancing technologyContinue to prove commercial success through margin improvement and new winsDemonstrate consistent year-over-year portfolio progressionDirect technology development and implementationPromote IFF capabilities within IFFAssist both internally and externally to solve raw materials and manufacturing problems

Technical Knowledge, IFF Tools and Talent Development

Create and execute training programs for technical and commercial staffMentor trainee, junior and Seasoning FlavouristsKey input and/or leadership role technical function on a regional basisAnticipate, investigate and resolve problems related to raw materials, flavour systems, finished prototypes and initial scale up proceduresProactive in new raw material evaluationRecognise and establish technical expert within the company globally as well as with customersContinue to expand own knowledgeProactively work with new molecules and specific areas of improvementSupport and collaborate on development of IFF flavour training programsFoster cross category collaboration and knowledge sharing

What you will need to be successful

Minimum Science degree (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, etc). Masters degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Food Engineering and/or Chemistry Engineering is preferred.10 – 15 years in flavour creation.Promoted from Seasoning Flavourist or entered at an equivalent level from a competitor
