Job Summary

The Senior SEC Reporting Accountant plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with SEC regulations and overseeing the accurate preparation of financial reports for the organization. This position involves collaborating with various departments to gather financial data, preparing quarterly and annual reports (10-Qs and 10-Ks), and ensuring timely filings with the SEC. The Senior SEC Reporting Accountant will also be responsible for analyzing financial statements and disclosures, contributing to audit processes, managing relationships with external auditors, and staying up-to-date with regulatory changes and best practices in financial reporting.

Please note team members work onsite 3 days a week and 2 days remote. Candidates must live within a commutable distance to the corporate site.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Preparation and review of the Company’s Form 10-K, 10-Q, including footnotes and financial disclosures included in other sections of quarterly and annual reports

Examines financial statements and documents for conformance with US GAAP accounting requirements and principles

Assists in the preparation and review of additional SEC filings including, Form 8-Ks, 11-K, registration statements, and Proxy statement

Monitor the integrity of controls over the external reporting process through checklists, quarterly memorandums and other methods to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley 404

Maintain objective evidence for Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance for external reporting controls

Develops, owns, and manages SEC reporting processes and timelines

Point of contact throughout the Company for disclosure matters (SEC guidance, FASB Standards, etc.) such as acquisition and divestiture accounting, segment realignments, and other matters

Education & Experience

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance

CPA required

Thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC Reporting

5+ years of experience gained in a top tier public accounting firm or industry related experience in an SEC external reporting role

Strong communication and organizational skills

Solid technical accounting knowledge

Self-directed and accountable

Strong analytical skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks

Works well in teams with an ability to interact at all levels of the organization

Familiarity with BPC, SAP and Workiva advantageous
