What you'll do The Security Architecture team is seeking a driven, customer-focused, and kind security professional to join our team. This is an opportunity to partner with amazing engineering leaders and drive the next evolutions of DocuSign technology. This Senior Security Architect is responsible for security architecture practices and patterns across Docusign Product. This involves gaining deep product knowledge, collaborating with engineering leadership to establish reference architectures, developing new technology stacks to better enforce security posture, and consulting with teams to drive compliance with security requirements. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Security Architecture. Responsibility Advise internal development teams on technology solutions that balance security, development, product enablement, and business requirements Liaise with product development and engineering teams to establish secure design patterns that protect against fraudulent activity within the company's products or services Conduct threat modeling exercises to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities in product designs and architecture Develop and drive the implementation of security solutions to support Docusign’s security goals and deliverables Establish and document security standards, guidance, and best practices for product design and engineering teams to follow Provide support and guidance to internal compliance teams on company policies and standards Act as a representative of security, communicating relevant security topics to audiences with varied levels of technological understanding Stay apprised of current and proposed security changes impacting compliance and make recommendations that align with security industry best practice Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic 8+ years of experience designing and delivering secure enterprise technology solutions 4+ years of experience in software engineering Experience implementing solutions in one or more of the following programming languages: C#, JavaScript, Python or Java Experience in at least 3 of the following:developing and securing micro services, API design and security at scale, secrets management at scale, intrusion detection/prevention systems, including WAFs, CI/CD implementation and maintenance or fraud detection and prevention at scale Experience with multi-cloud environments and container deployments Experience with securing Software as a Service (SaaS) products Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Security, Engineering, or related field/equivalent security experience Preferred Deep understanding of security principles including authentication, authorization, encryption, data protection, and secure coding practices Excellence at creating clarity and alignment for technical initiatives Strong organizational and communications skills with the ability to convey complex ideas in a manner that drives direct action and results Excellence in communicating business risk from cybersecurity issues Experience defining and executing large-scale, transformative strategic plans Strong analytical skills to interpret and translate business needs into operational requirements Proven ability to influence technical and business leadership CISSP, CISM, CISA, GDSA or similar professional certification Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations: California: $151,800.00 - $245,150.00 base salary Illinois and Colorado: $145,800.00 - $205,950.00 base salary Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $145,800.00 - $214,350.00 base salary This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
