Senior Security Engineer, Purple Team - GPU Firmware

NVIDIA is searching for a highly motivated, creative engineer with experience in low-level system software and a strong background in security to join the GPU Firmware team. You will focus on requirements, architecture, purple teaming, and vulnerability research for GPU firmware as well firmware for other devices on GPU platforms. We are seeking candidates to join the GPU Firmware team and contribute to the development of secure boot, update, and attestation firmware for GPUs. Join us in building a strong security posture for all our gaming and high-performance compute products.

What you'll be doing:

Perform design and threat analysis of firmware and hardware designs, to ensure security properties and robustness of our products.

Build security roadmaps, whitepapers, and other documents for key features/products and work with key external partners.

Identify vulnerabilities in our firmware, build proof of concepts, and drive remediation.

Evangelize and drive adoption of new or improved tools, practices, and plans to increase product robustness and reliability.

Work within a larger virtual security team on other parts of the GPU stack, as necessary.

What we need to see:

12+ years of system software engineering experience with strong C-skills and low-level software development.

BS/MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.

Experience with threat modeling, formal design analysis, hardware/firmware architecture and other demonstrable security experience in a defensive security focused role.

Proven experience with secure coding practices and tooling - static analysis, dynamic analysis, fuzzing, and code coverage.

Ability to collaborate and accomplish complex goals.

The base salary range is 220,000 USD - 419,750 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
