As a Senior Security Engineer (Remote), you are responsible for security in the network and cloud security domain.
In this position, you will provide support resolving security issues, lead small to medium sized projects within the team and participates in cross-functional projects implementing security designs. You will also lead security-related investigations and incident response activities. In this role, you may provide periodic on-call support of security operations during non-business hours.
This position has the ability to work remotely in any of the 40+ states in which TDS operates.
The pay range listed for this position represents the low and high end of the base compensation range. The actual offer amount will carefully consider multiple factors, such as relevant skills, qualifications, work experience, location and/or competencies that align with the specified role. Bachelors degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years professional work experience.3+ years of IT security-related work experience.2+ years experience leading projects within a team.Other Qualifications
Proficient with the security concepts for log analysis, monitoring, system and network auditing, and vulnerability management.Familiarity with:Security information and event management (SIEM) systems or other scalable log management solutions.Network security intrusion detection tools like Snort, Zeek, or Suricata.Experience with or in:Performing and being the technical lead for security investigations and digital forensic analysis.Firewall principles and best practices, including experience with firewall and VPN platforms.Network hardware including routers, switches and wireless access points and network packet brokers.Monitoring and administration of network and host-based intrusion detection and prevention systems such as OSSEC, Wazuh, Auditbeat or Tripwire.National Institute of Standards and Yechnology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework or Center for Internet Security (CIS) Critical Security Controls.At least one scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell).Network experience across the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model, including network topologies, protocols and in performing analysis of raw data captures.Ability to:Work and lead in a fast-paced changing environment and to prioritize multiple tasks and organize time with a strong attention to detail.Partner with all levels of associates, vendors, and stakeholders in order to influence security change in the organization and appropriately manage risk.
