Senior Security Engineer
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Security Engineer in Stamford, Connecticut. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise-level IT systems. Your role will also include managing virtualization environments, enterprise backup solutions, and recovery setups. As part of your duties, you will be expected to provide technical guidance and support to other IT staff and end-users. Responsibilities: • Oversee the design and deployment of enterprise-level IT systems, including servers, storage, networks, and cloud services. • Manage and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and scalability. • Take charge of virtualization environments, enterprise backup solutions, and disaster recovery setups. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, hardware, and software issues. • Lead IT project implementation, migrations, and system upgrades. • Manage and maintain security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption solutions. • Design and implement security architectures for IT systems and cloud environments. • Conduct security risk assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability analyses. • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulations. • Respond to and manage security incidents, leading incident containment, eradication, and recovery efforts. • Monitor security systems, analyzing logs, and staying vigilant for any threats or anomalous activities. • Act as the subject matter expert for both IT and cybersecurity, providing guidance to teams and stakeholders. • Collaborate with departments to align IT systems and cybersecurity strategies with business objectives. • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and auditors. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity or related roles • Proficient knowledge of Cloud Technologies • Extensive experience with Firewall Technologies • Strong skills in Auditing • Proficiency in AWS Technologies • Proficient in Configuration Management • Proven track record in Cyber Security • Experience with Microsoft Azure is required • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server is necessary • Proficient in Microsoft Windows Security • Demonstrated ability in Penetration Testing Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
