About The Position
The Senior Security Investigator is responsible for training new Corporate Security Investigators, providing and coordinating protection for Ameren employees and assets, in addition to investigative support, coordinating, and monitoring incidents committed against the company.
Key responsibilities include:
● Act as a liaison between law enforcement agencies and the company to ensure optimum support and collaboration in sensitive and/or emergency situations.
● Provide security inspections at company facilities. Implement and/or monitor the appropriate technology, processes and controls.
● Stay current on best practices regarding prevention strategies for a secure work environment.
● Investigate security-related incidents that threaten or harm personnel or property. Collaborate with Human Resources, line leadership and/or law enforcement to ensure a well-coordinated and well executed investigation and resolution of the issue. Develop detailed documentation of the investigation as necessary.
● Conduct quality/compliance reviews of contract security work-force and prepare monthly reports of findings.
● Make presentations to leaders and/or employees regarding security practices and procedures or violence prevention strategies as needed/requested.
● Prepare detailed reports concerning investigations involving Human Resources and Labor Relations.
● Remain proficient in prevention strategies for a secure work environment and protection of personnel and property.
● Take the lead/oversight in preparing security details to include approval of invoices and submit invoices to the IP Imaging system.
● Maintain and update Business Continuity Plans.
● Facilitate security licensing for investigators in Illinois and Missouri.
● Train new security investigators
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent law enforcement and/or military experience required. Five or more years of law enforcement and/or private security experience required. Strong crime prevention and administrative background and established contacts with personnel from law enforcement agencies preferred, as well as thorough familiarity with law enforcement practices throughout Missouri and Illinois.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Good computer, decision-making, problem-solving, oral and written communication, and human relations skills, as well as public speaking required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word required. Must demonstrate proficiency using the IP Imaging system. Must demonstrate proficiency using the CSS system. Ameren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include candidate testing and/or an individual aptitude or skill-based assessment. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.
Compensation Range:
$90,900.00 - $140,900.00At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
