Senior Sensory Manager

 

 

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: As a Senior Sensory Manager, you’ll take sensory leadership to the next level, owning strategic initiatives and collaborating with senior leaders to deliver cutting-edge insights. You’ll lead sensory research programs that directly influence product innovation and customer satisfaction while mentoring a growing team of experts.

 

Responsibilities:

Own Sensory Strategy: Set the vision and direction for sensory research across the organization.Build Excellence: Develop and enhance sensory methodologies to ensure competitive differentiation.Mentor and Inspire: Manage and grow a high-performing sensory team, fostering innovation and collaboration. Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, R&D, QA, and Sales leaders to align sensory objectives with business KPIs.Customer Engagement: Act as the sensory expert for key customers, delivering insights that strengthen relationships.Advance Innovation: Drive exploration of new technologies and approaches in sensory science.Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications: 

Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Sensory Science, Poultry Science or similar field strongly preferred.5+ years of sensory or consumer science experience strongly preferred.2-3 years of management expereince required.Advanced expertise in sensory tools, statistical software and data visualization requiredProven ability to lead large-scale projects and influence executive decision making. A track record of fostering high-performing teams and delivering measurable results.Ability to travel about 25% of the time.Strong interpersonal communication skills.Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodationAs a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule; Base salary range of $120,000-$130,000Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and Career Development: Our company is dedicated to supporting professional growth by offering continuous learning opportunities and a focus on career growth through various learning and development programs.
