Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Server Engineer in Naperville, IL. Essential Functions: * Lead in the design, acquisition, implementation, and support of cloud and on-premise compute and storage infrastructure * Analyze infrastructure to determine and resolve inefficiencies * Manage infrastructure projects and make recommendations on solutions * Stay up to date with the latest advancements in infrastructure technology and best practices * Collaborate with network engineers, security engineers and other IT professionals Technical Leadership and Project Management: * Provide technical leadership and overall project management of various essential and high visibility projects * Technical lead for design and administration decisions related to Infrastructure * Training/Mentoring: Promote the professional growth of the team Support and Operations: * Performance and capacity planning: monitor, reconfigure and tune hardware and software for performance improvements and future scalability * Provide Tier III support for essential infrastructure as needed. Investigate and troubleshoot issues * Ensure that systems are running at optimal performance and best practice
