Field Service Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work of medium to high complexity as per work instructions and ABB guidelines. Each day, you will deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers. You will also showcase your expertise by working with customer to identify opportunities in the installed base, to improve system performance and operational performance.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tContributing to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work as per customer order and expectations.•\tEnsuring customer retention by delivering superior customer experience and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations.•\tTaking actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB, in close cooperation with customer and other ABB teams.•\tCoaching technicians and engineers and supervising complex site activities.
Qualifications for the roleBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 8 additional years of related experience). Minimum of 5 years of field engineering experience preferred.Ability and willingness to travel approximately 75% as required. Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid passport and driver's license. Knowledge of industrial customer base in geographical areaTechnical skills in testing of power distribution and delivery to include Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Breakers, Switchgear, Relays and Transformers. Experience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers (OEM equipment such as Siemens, GE, ABB, SquareD, Multilin relays, and Schweitzer Relays).Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting of medium voltage synchronous machines (including excitation systems), controls systems and Programmable Logic controllers a plus.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
