Senior ServiceNow CMDB Developer

Key Responsibilities:

ServiceNow CMDB Management

Maintain and update the ServiceNow CMDB to ensure accurate and up-to-date configuration data. Develop and implement processes for CMDB data quality and integrity. Perform regular audits and reconciliation of the CMDB to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Data Imports and Quality Control

Design and execute data import processes to load data into the CMDB from various sources. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of imported data. Develop and maintain scripts or tools to automate data import and quality control processes.

Reporting and Analytics

Create and manage reports and dashboards to provide insights into CMDB data and related IT assets. Generate custom reports to meet the needs of different stakeholders within the organization. Analyze data trends and provide recommendations for improving data management practices.

Development and Scripting

Utilize SQL to query and manipulate data for reporting and quality control purposes. Develop scripts or applications to enhance the functionality and automation of CMDB-related tasks. Collaborate with other IT team members to integrate CMDB data with other IT systems and tools.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with IT, operations, and other departments to understand data requirements and deliver accurate reports. Provide training and support to stakeholders on using ServiceNow CMDB and related reporting tools. Act as a point of contact for any CMDB-related inquiries or issues. Qualifications:

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in IT data management, database administration, or a similar role. Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) tools is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in SQL for querying, reporting, and data manipulation. Strong understanding of data management principles and best practices. Experience with data import/export processes and tools. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus. Familiarity with ServiceNow CMDB and ITSM modules is preferred but not mandatory.
