_This position follows our hybrid-friendly schedule, so you get the best of both worlds – flexibility and collaboration. In office days will be 2-3 per week averaging 10-12 days per month._
**Job Summary:**
Raymond James is seeking an Application Developer III for our ServiceNow Solutions team. The ServiceNow Solutions Team provides technology solutions and support across the entire Raymond James Organization built on the ServiceNow platform. As a senior developer, you will analyze business requirements and problems and develop quality technical solutions. You will be involved in portions of the full systems life cycle (based on experience/skills) and will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting applications and modules on the ServiceNow platform delivered on time and within budget. You will manage complex problems independently and demonstrates analytical thinking, are able to make judgements and recommendations based on the analysis and interpretation of data.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Analyzes system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between impacted components and sub systems.
+ May recommend new technologies and methodologies to management for meeting business needs, resolving problems and exploiting opportunities. Remains current with new technologies.
+ Obtains and evaluates information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.
+ Participates in software system testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation.
+ Provides technical advice and assists in solving programming problems.
+ Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements and flow charts.
+ Reviews test results; documents test activities, and records remedial actions.
+ Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage.
+ Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
+ Develop existing applications and contribute to development of new applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement. Develop new routine applications to meet customer requirements.
+ Design and perform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues.
+ Monitor, identify, and correct more complex software defects to maintain fully functioning applications software.
+ Maintain a roadmap to facilitate application software development and ensure the development work is prioritized in line with business requirements.
+ Implement required security measures and provide input on their design, monitoring performance to notify security experts of any problems.
+ Create and maintain technical and/or user documentation to a high standard, and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.
+ Explore and develop a basic understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.
+ Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
**Skills:**
+ Knowledge of ServiceNow IT Modules (i.e., ITSM, ITOM, ITBM/ SPM, GRC/ IRM, SecOps, Vulnerability Response, Service Portal, SAM Pro, Integration Hub, and/or Performance Analytics.)
+ Development skills in JavaScript on the ServiceNow Platform
+ Experience with integrations (e.g., REST APIs, LDAP, Active Directory, JDBC, Orchestration, etc.)
+ Experience with Scoped Applications
+ Experience with Flow Designer, preferred
+ Experience with Integration Hub, preferred
+ Experience with Service Portal, preferred
+ Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on developing appropriate plans or performing necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.
+ Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on developing software using programming languages.
+ Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on monitoring, diagnosing and fixing technological problems.
+ Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on ensuring that IT applications meet required specifications by designing, executing and reporting on tests of systems and services.
+ Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on managing information throughout its lifecycle by designing and executing appropriate architectures, policies and practices.
+ Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on maintaining the security, integrity, compliance and continuity of IT systems and services.
**Licenses/Certifications:**
+ ServiceNow Certification is a plus: Certified Application Developer
+ ITIL Foundation Certification is a plus
**Education**
Bachelor’s: Computer and Information Science, Bachelor’s: Computer Engineering, Bachelor’s: Data Science
