Position SummaryThe Senior ServiceNow ITSM Developer is the technology subject-matter expert responsible for the analysis, design, configuration, and implementation of software development projects with ServiceNow ITSM, ITAM, and ITOM. Works on multiple projects and development efforts and provides technical and architectural guidance on complex initiatives and works closely with on-shore and off-shore resources. The candidate should have at least 7 - 10 years of hands-on programming experience.
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
Support the standup, configuration, and implementation of the modules supporting ServiceNow's ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM capabilities.Design, Create, and Maintain reporting inclusive of Platform and Performance Analytics, Process Mining, and KRIs, KPIs, and Control Metrics both at a process/workflow and Operational perspectives.Develop Interactive Dashboards, Widgets, Workspaces.Create and maintain Forms, Reports, Views, Workflows, Business Rules, Scripts, ACLs, Groups and RolesCreate and configure tool integrations with ServiceNow (Netcool, Kafka, etc.)Assist with design, creation and cataloging of business process flows.Perform the necessary tasks to design and configure ServiceNow functions to meet operational needs.Oversee the integration of information into the CMDB from ServiceNow Discovery and APIs, ensuring accuracy and consistency.Utilize your experience in creating APIs to establish seamless communication between ServiceNow and other systems.Design and implement robust APIs that contribute to efficient data exchange.Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirementsUtilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirementsPerforms Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activitiesContributes to story refinement and definition of requirementsParticipates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycleContributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying causePerforms spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideasRequired Qualifications:Expert knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB, ITSM applications with at least 5+ years of hands on experience7+ years of experience working as a ServiceNow Developer5+ years of experience working in the Discovery module of ServiceNowProficiency with API development (SOAP OR REST)Proficient in core tables, Glide, scripting, UI actions, scheduled jobs, business rules, client scripts, data imports, custom apps, and development methodologiesExpertise in ServiceNow development, JavaScript, Angular JS or React JSProficiency in ServiceNow Flow DesignerExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with complex and global projectsDesired Qualifications:Very strong analytical skillsITIL Foundations certified or higher preferredB.S. in Computer Science or related technical fieldSkills:
