Senior Shipping and Receiving Associate

Responsibilities:\n\nHandle all materials received in the Mail Center (receive, review, receipt, document, process, prepare, identify, separate, deliver, transport, etc.).\nWarehouse Management (Cage Owners, communications & clean up)\nMaintains inventory of the mail room & shipping supplies\nPerform task for digital mail. (Scan mail, email the saved file to the recipient, follow up for instructions, monitor retention of original documents.)\nDeliver, pickup, and transport materials within, between, to, and from various departments.\nDeliver office supplies and copy paper.\nInspect deliveries for suspicious or threatening items.\nPickup outbound boxes and packages from internal customer locations.\nAbility to sort items into categories according to established methods.\nPrepare items for processing, shipment or transportation.\nEnter activity data in logs, maintain records.\nEnsure all safety procedures are followed at all times. Maintains Shipping & Receiving area in a clean and organized fashion to ensure a safe and efficient operation.\nPrepare and process outbound courier shipments using computer or service provider's equipment (such as FedEx).\nFederal Express program\nAssigns users with login as permitted by the program and requirements\nResponds to requests for shipping and prepare documents\/items for shipping\nAssists in packing\/shipping items\nCustomer Returns\nAbility to cross train on other roles within department; responsible for carrying out other duties as appropriate due to staff absences or at the discretion of management.\nOther duties as assigned by manager.\nPromotes and provides excellent customer service and support.\nActs as a liaison in providing technical or logistics guidance to our site customers and contracted service providers\nInterfaces with customers and provides guidance on business-related issues to ensure all expectations are being met\nMaintains a positive relationship with all the members of the Facilities department and our site customers while promoting a positive team environment\nOversees work and customer communications to minimize impact to site operations.\n \n\n

Qualifications:\n\nHigh School diploma or equivalent (GED).\nMinimum of 2-5 years Mail\/Print services related experience preferred with knowledge of commonly used Office Services procedures.\n1-3 years' experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, etc.).\nExcellent customer service skills; must possess a \"can do\" attitude.\nExcellent communication skills both verbal and written.\nAbility to effectively work individually or in a team environment.\nCompetency in performing multiple functional tasks.\nAttention to detail.\nAbility to handle mail or hand cart, as well as flatbed.\nHazmat experience preferred.\nMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds.\n\n
