THE ROLE:

The newly created role of Senior SIOP Manager (Sales Inventory and Operations Planning) is an exciting opportunity at CST Industries to work across various parts of our growing organization! Responsibility includes overseeing the coordination and execution of the monthly SIOP process to ensure the forward-looking alignment of demand, supply, capacity, inventory, and revenue expectations are balanced and achievable. In this highly visible and collaborative role, the incumbent will work alongside production, sales, marketing, finance, and sourcing teams on a routine basis to ensure that long-range planning is visible and communicated to capitalize on growth objectives. The Senior SIOP Manager is the leader and point person in developing and executing the monthly collaborative SIOP alignment process. Through escalating cross-functional meetings, he/she will develop a plan between sales, engineering, supply, internal capacities, and financial objectives in the form of a single, achievable plan that will roll out across multiple manufacturing facilities. He/she coordinates the monthly SIOP process through a series of cross-functional meetings: data gathering and forecasting, supply/demand planning, production capacity planning, pre-SIOP alignment, followed by the executive SIOP roll-up meeting occurring monthly. This position reports to the Vice President of Global Supply Chain and is a key member of the CST Industries Supply Chain team.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Develop and execute the monthly organizational SIOP process by identifying and coordinating multiple key stakeholder meetings to drive alignment in the supply, demand, production, capacity, and revenue plans leading up to the monthly Executive SIOP meeting. Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly demand forecast, analyze forecast accuracy, and recommend adjustments to the plan based on available supply, capacity, and customer expectations. Develop regular cadence with Sales and Engineering teams to conduct product reviews and incorporate field level intelligence into the demand plan for new projects and emerging markets. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create and maintain production schedules that optimize inventory levels, meet customer demand, achieve customer service levels, and hit revenue targets within current lead time as well as projecting forward demand 8-12+ months out. Act as a change agent for continuous SIOP process improvement, system implementation, and SIOP standardization efforts across 4 U.S. manufacturing facilities.

 

 

ADDITIONAL SCOPE:


Demand reviews: Develop and enhance the demand review process by working closely with production scheduling, project managers, purchasing, and operations.

Supply reviews: Develop and enhance the material supply review process and ensure it’s provided as a key input into SIOP by working with Sourcing Managers. Ensure that supply and capacity constraints are clearly spelled out with risks and opportunities identified to maximize throughput at each manufacturing location.

Data gathering: Identify and optimize key data resources (historical and future) in a variety of systems relating to supply, demand, capacity, inventory, and forecasting to drive achievement in short term and long-term business results.

SIOP meeting preparation: Prepare for multiple escalating monthly meetings, reconciling supply to demand, aligning with the financial plans, while understanding the financial implications of different scenarios. Align with stakeholders of information on discussion points and ensure that all inputs needed for meetings are available, timely, and accurate.

Meeting facilitation: Facilitate multiple monthly SIOP meetings, ensuring that all information is presented, all stakeholders are engaged, decisions are made, and execution plans articulated with owners and completion dates.

Meeting follow-up: Ensure that decisions from the meetings are communicated to each function/department/team and ensure that execution takes place. Ensure that the SIOP process is sustained to the minimum level of agreed upon maturity with continuous improvements throughout development. Drive a continuous improvement of SIOP culture across the organization by implementing best practices and standardization of each SIOP cycle meeting agenda, content, and template. Document current process and identify current challenges and options to improve.
WORK EXPERIENCE:

At least 7 years of recent experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, and/or Supply Planning preferably within a multi-site manufacturing environment At least 5 years of recent demonstrable experience on a SIOP team or leading the SIOP process Experience within an industrial project-based manufacturing environment highly preferred Project Management, forecasting, data analysis to drive decisions Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to changes in the work environment including staffing restructure and organizational changes to support SIOP Experienced in providing cross-functional leadership regarding work related systems, processes, and challenges leading to successful implementation and outcomes. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 highly preferred. Proficiency in general supply chain management practices, demand planning, and ERP systems. Strong organizational and planning skills are required. Travel to other CST sites within the U.S. up to 20% as needed Other duties as assigned to support this role and the organization

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Operations, or equivalent discipline Professional Supply Chain Certification(s) highly desirable 7-10 years’ experience in SIOP or similar Supply Chain oriented role within a manufacturing environment 5-7+ years of experience in demand planning using a variety of systems and tools Strong knowledge of SIOP processes and continuous improvement methodology Strong experience in Microsoft Excel: v-lookups, pivot tables, queries, data analysis Extensive experience using MRP/ERP systems while suggesting and making continuous improvements. Experience with PowerBI, Salesforce, and Project Management tools preferred Report building and executive presentations based on data, results, and projections. Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.
