Senior Site Design Engineer

Your Impact + Prepare and review engineering deliverables in support of civil/site engineering projects. + Prepare site layout, grading, drainage & utility designs and drawings. + Perform stormwater management calculations, design, and H&H modeling. + Prepare erosion control documents including permitting and SWPPP submittals. + Perform construction administration support. + Coordinates with multi-disciplinary teams as needed to finalize all design details. + Coordinate regularly with the Project Engineer/Manager to ensure project scope, budget, and quality expectations are met. + Determine client requirements and contribute to the development of scopes, schedules, and budgets. + Utilize relationships with clients to achieve WSP's business development goals. + Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Who You Are **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering + P.E. registration in Illinois or ability to obtain in 6 months + 5-7 years of experience in civil site design + Good technical writing, analytical and communication skills + Experience leading design tasks and managing junior design staff + Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D + Ability to implement WSP's Quality Control Procedures + Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures + Proven track record upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience having led and mentored a team + Business development experience + Active member of local professional organizations + Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements. **WSP Benefits:** WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
