Your impact
The OpenText Cloud Services organization is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to work within the Cloud Services & Enablement team – responsible for designing, deploying, managing and supporting Commercial and Lab/SIT public cloud environments, related AD/IAM services, and surrounding IT governance.
This role plays a key part in enabling and sustaining delivery of OpenText’s suite of industry-leading and AI-enabled SaaS applications to our global customers, helping to support our vision to be the best Information Management company in the world where information elevates every individual and every organization to be their best.
What the role offers
Expertly using modern hyperscaler services, DevOps techniques and CI/CD tooling, with Agile delivery methods, to design, deploy, extend and support cloud infrastructure on which to run customer and internal OpenText SaaS applications and workloadsProviding fast and accurate investigation, diagnosis and successful resolution of urgent and complex issues arising on critical multi-vendor cloud infrastructure, with clear and timely customer notification/communication delivered as a highly professional service, to required quality and within applicable SLAsManaging own and supporting team backlog of cloud design/deployment requestsManaging own and supporting team queue of cloud service requestsWorking effectively with IT, Architecture and Engineering teams to deliver cloud servicesWorking with diverse and cross-functional teams on cloud-related infrastructure projectsDeveloping OpenText cloud standards and high-level architecture designsActively participating in technology, process and individual learning programsProviding technical leadership and training for new/existing products in the technical areaContinually improving troubleshooting knowledge, methods and effectivenessCreating and enhancing cloud-related knowledge base contentParticipating in documentation and product reviewForming partnerships with Product Development and Architecture teamsAnalyzing and helping to optimize cloud performance, cost, utilization, and efficiencyDemonstrating flexibility to undertake additional projects/responsibilities if needed
What you need to succeed
5+ years of experience managing operational cloud and related projects5+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, or Microsoft AzureSolid experience managing, monitoring, and supporting high-traffic cloud environmentsExperience capacity planning and auto-scaling infrastructureExperience with cloud hyperscaler compute, storage and networking (GCP, AWS, Azure)Experience with cloud hyperscaler account, permission and role managementExperience with GCP, AWS, Azure project / Account / Subscription CreationExperience with Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE)Experience with CodeBuild, CodePipeline, StepFunctions, and CodeCommitExperience with CI/CD PipelinesExperience with Control Tower and Customizations for Control Tower (CfCT)Experience with Service Control PoliciesExperience with Security Hub, GuardDuty, and ConfigExperience with CloudTrail and LoggingExperience with Terraform, Packer, and AWS CloudFormationExperience scripting/programming in Python, YAML, JSON, BASH, and/or PowerShellExperience deploying and supporting Linux and Windows serversExperience designing and operating platforms to support off-the-shelf softwareExperience troubleshooting IAM access issues, with monitoring and reportingExcellent analysis & troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Experience in a fast-paced environment and willingness to undertake new challenges.
