Position: Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Location: 699 8th Street, Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94103

 

Responsibilities include:

iRhythm Technologies, Inc. seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (San Francisco, CA) to write, build, and deploy services globally and at scale and how best to write tools to automate the entire development cycle. Build and scale within and across multiple regions for services that utilize Java applications, Docker, MySQL, Kubernetes, and AWS services. Work on projects from the design phase to the journey to production and beyond. Lead technical discussions and debugging sessions alongside development engineers during major incidents. Design and layout the foundation for a observability platform. Participate in the on-call rotation and help refine the process. Work closely with Application Developers and contribute to architectural discussions. Work with and support internal users in Sales, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing and Accounting on optimizations, break-fix and planning for the applications they use in support of our customers and contributors. Support of production infrastructure and services, including our AWS Infrastructure including EC2, ECS, S3, IAM, Route53, Elasticache, Load Balancers, and CloudWatch. Work with Rails, Python and Java Applications, as well as Docker and Kubernetes, PostgreSQL and Redis databases. Provide leadership to the team in mastering technologies, identifying and implementing worthwhile new technologies and improving our process. Responsible for Continuous delivery (CI/CD) using Jenkins, Groovy Script, Docker, Chef/Ansible, AWS ECS, Kubernetes. Site reliability and availability, including end-to-end performance, service monitoring, alerting, capacity sizing and planning. Responsible for business continuity planning and testing. 10% domestic travel required, 10% international travel required. Local telecommuting permitted.

 

SALARY:  $215,197 to $246,500 per year

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field and five (5) years of experience in DevOps. Must have the following experience: AWS; Linux system administration; Python scripting language; working with testing and performance automation frameworks; SQL databases; configuration management tools, including Terraform, Puppet, and Ansible; container management technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes; networking concepts and protocols including DNS, TCP/IP and firewalls; and Incident, Change, and Operations Management. 10% domestic travel required, 10% international travel required. Local telecommuting permitted.

Actual compensation may vary depending on job-related factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.

 

Estimated Pay Range$215,197—$246,500 USD
