Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Hardware

As part of the Bare Metal Infrastructure group (36 engineers), you will enable the deployment and operation of a large self-hosted fleet of 35K servers with 1M CPU cores, 1.5 PiB of RAM, 250 PiB of raw storage, totaling 16MW in 11 data centers across Europe, America and Asia.

You will be part of the Hardware team (9 engineers), tasked with enabling and maintaining Criteo’s server fleet. Your work will involve providing streamlined services to simplify server configuration for our internal users. Our core operating principles are outlined in our Hardware manifesto.

Your job

Develop infrastructure-as-code to manage, maintain and upgrade hardware in our fleet.

Develop systems that proactively capture health status of various hardware components and automate remediation.

Provide abstraction layer to hide the specificity of each hardware.

Build a strong partnership with key industry players (suppliers and peers) to drive our requirements.

Who You Are:

Experienced with managing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.

Familiar with low-level software, including kernel, firmware, system services or drivers.

Skilled in configuration and automation tools, such as Chef (Puppet, Salt or Ansible are also valid options).

Knowledgeable about the latest server architectures and components.

Capable of working within Agile processes and methodologies.
