Our team is responsible for monitoring and measuring the reliability of our suite of application networking products. In collaboration with Engineering and product teams, we focus on improving the performance and reliability of the products we support.

Collaborate with others to build the best solutions for customers

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the performance, availability, and reliability of Akamai's application networking products. You'll define KPIs, improve monitoring and alerting, and resolve complex performance issues.

As a Site Reliability Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for:

Monitoring, investigating, and analyzing performance and availability by (co)designing, managing, and tracking product-related SLIs/SLOsSolving problems and avoiding recurrence by developing tools/prototypes to proactively monitor service performance and availabilityWorking closely with product engineers to advocate reliable and scalable system design for supportability, resilience and reliabilityLeveraging skills in data analysis, network diagnostics and debugging tools to characterize performance and recommend improvementsCollaborating with internal teams to help trouble-shoot and resolve escalations and incidents for our customers.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's or above degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Demonstrate experience in developing solutions Python, bash, or other languages.Show knowledge of Oracle SQL for troubleshooting data integrity, reporting and data analysisShow experience with data visualization, such as Grafana.Show fluency working in a UNIX/Linux computing environment
