MAU is hiring a Senior Sitework Estimator for Landmark Construction Co. in Blythewood, SC. As a Senior Sitework Estimator, you will collaborate with project teams to prepare accurate cost estimates, analyze project specifications, evaluate subcontractor quotes, and continuously improve estimating processes to ensure successful project bids and cost management. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
Benefits Package 401k matching Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Shift Information Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management (preferred) Prior experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) systems General Requirements Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical data Strong understanding of contractual requirements and their application to projects Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and colleagues Creative problem-solving skills to automate processes and enhance efficiencies Quick to learn and adapt to new software and systems Exceptional attention to detail in all tasks High proficiency in Microsoft Office, with expert-level knowledge of Excel Experience in earthwork and utility estimating Proficiency in HCSS HeavyBid or Bid2Win estimating software Proficiency in AutoCAD or Trimble Business Center Proven track record in developing accurate and competitive estimates Strong analytical skills to assess project requirements, costs, and risks Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration abilities Detail-oriented and results-driven with a focus on high-quality outcomes Passion for contributing to successful, high-quality construction projects Essential Functions Collaborate with project teams to create accurate takeoffs for various construction projects Review project documents, plans, and specifications to identify material and labor requirements Use takeoff software to calculate quantities of materials, labor, and equipment needed for projects Prepare accurate cost estimates for sitework and utility projects Assist in budget analysis for materials, labor, and project costs Support the preparation of estimates and bids for project proposals Provide technical support to project teams as needed Analyze project specifications and drawings to ensure clarity and accuracy Evaluate subcontractor quotes and material costs for cost-effectiveness Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful and timely bid submissions Continuously improve estimating processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers Mentor and provide guidance to junior estimators
