About the RoleWe're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Custom & RevTech team, who will lead the development of custom advertising solutions and optimize our ad tech stack. In this role, you'll build internal tools that help our ad operations and sales teams maximize revenue while ensuring optimal user experience across our video and display inventory. You'll work closely with product, ad ops, and sales teams to develop and implement revenue-generating solutions.What You Will DoArchitect and implement custom advertising solutions that integrate with our content management systemBuild and optimize header bidding and ad delivery performance across digital properties and video playersDevelop internal tools and revenue analytics dashboards for ad operations and sales teamsLead technical integration of advertising vendors and partners while ensuring compliance with privacy regulationsImplement and troubleshoot video advertising solutions (VAST/VPAID/SIMID) across platforms Create and maintain server-side and client-side ad integrationsMonitor and improve ad performance metrics and viewabilityBuild custom video ad formats and experiencesImplement consent management and ensure compliance with privacy regulationsWho You Are (Required):Experienced professional with 7+ years of software engineering experienceExpert in Google Ad Manager (GAM) implementation and APIDeep understanding of Google Analytics, GTM, and data layer implementationProficient in JavaScript and modern web technologiesExperienced with header bidding implementation and troubleshootingStrong knowledge of ad-serving technologies and programmatic advertisingSkilled in using debugging tools (Grafana, Charles Proxy, browser dev tools)Understanding of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and consent managementExperience with video advertising standards (VAST, VPAID, SIMID)Knowledge of video player APIs and video ad implementationStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailWho You Are (Preferred):Experience working in a media/publishing environmentFamiliarity with A/B testing and performance optimizationKnowledge of ad viewability and brand safety solutionsExperience with ad-blocking detection and mitigationBackground in performance optimization and web vitalsUnderstanding of SEO impact on advertising implementationsExperience with IMA SDK and other video advertising SDKsKnowledge of server-side ad insertion (SSAI)Experience with OTT/CTV advertising implementationWhat We OfferBest in class health, dental, and vision insuranceHealthcare FSA Dependent Care FSA Commuter Benefits FSA Short-term/long-term disability and life insurancePaid Parental leave401k with 4% matchPet InsuranceLegal and Identity Theft PlansVacation time and sick days$135,000 - $140,000 a yearThe Pay Range, which consists of salary and commission, for this position is listed.
