Why Box needs you:
As a Software Engineer for Box, you will be a part of the team maintaining and developing the web platform. You will be involved in initiatives levaraging up the platform capabilities. That will involve architectural discussions, driving and participating in defining and consulting frontend initiatives related with feature development and refactor, and finally implementation of decided and aligned solutions. Technologies involved will be JS (React/Redux/Node), TypeScript, some PHP and Java if needed. Since the team’s responsibility is around core frontend platform of Box, we need your help in keeping its availability on 99.99% level. As a member of the team you will closely collaborate with Senior Engineers, Architects on creating and implementing decided solutions. We are the team and we need true team player skills to leverage the synergy of the team to blow our customers minds.

What you'll do:

Work with the team in US to onboard and learn about the current responsibilities Attend daily stand ups, sprint planning / retrospectives, team meetings, manager 1:1s Maintain one or more legacy codebases Provide input in implementing standards across all product teams at Box Participate in production on-call rotation with your team members You will be an ambassador of Box Poland, representing the company and your team internally and externally Create technical requirements Participate in tech design reviews You will be responsible for delivery and contribution to cross team technical initiatives

 

Who you are:

You have 5+ years of professional software development experience You have experience with TypeScript, JavaScript and React You have experience with Node.js You have experience working with legacy codebases You speak English proficiently You are oriented for solving problems regardless of technology - small modifications of Java or PHP will happen time to time.

Percentage of Time Spent:

50% coding 15% documentation 20% bug fixes 15% meetings
