The Role:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our commodity/energy production, trading, and logistics products, in an agile environment. You will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, developers, product managers to deliver high-quality software solutions. You are expected to implement best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment is essential for this role.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop software utilizing common coding standards and design patterns for API’s and interfaces in a variety of languages - C#, .NetActively participate in various phases of the development lifecycle: Design, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Code (server, WinForms UI, and Web UI), performance benchmarks, documentation, deployment automation.Diagnose and debug new and existing software as part of our extensive trading system using Microsoft Visual Studio and other modern debugging toolsInteract with the business experts and customers to understand the end user requirements and collaborate within engineering teams to build robust solutionsCollaborate with local and remote team members across different time-zonesPromote best practices in coding, design, and architectureContribute to developing and refining development processes to enhance quality and productivityCoach and mentor junior members of the teamParticipate in architecture discussions to share experiences and provide advice Participate in stakeholder and customer conversations and demonstrationsRequired Skills, Experience and Qualifications:BE/BTech or MS degree in Computer Science from a reputed university6+ years of hands-on experience in coding and designing complex, enterprise applicationsStrong programming skills in C#Experience with .NET frameworks and full Microsoft stackExperience developing and working with SQLStrong development experience using design patterns, object-oriented design, and SOLID principals Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skillsExperience working in an agile team setting across different time-zones and countriesAbility to coach and mentor junior members of the teamPassion for excellence and high-quality delivery
