Senior Software Engineer (Financial Systems)                                  

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Finance Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to design and develop financial systems with cutting-edge technology to support our company and business partners. This means designing, developing, and maintaining solutions for our Finance and Billing departments, as well as other stakeholders.

This position is ideal for the candidate who thrives in a company culture where one will work collaboratively across departments. You will also work closely with all levels of business and technology partners to implement and support key initiatives, and to integrate the company’s financial systems with external platforms. You will have the opportunity to work across various technical areas using the latest technologies and Agile development methods.

WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR ALARM.COM?

Develop full stack software for a wide variety of platforms and technologies. Take part in the entire project life cycle, from requirements development to deployment with lots of cross-team collaboration. Lead architecture, design, implementation, and operational support of tools and services. Exercise good judgment. Know when to work quickly, and when to build a robust solution. Work with the team to imagine new ways to improve the partner operations so they can effectively run their business and provide an exceptional experience to our customers. Bring your ideas! We want our engineers to collaborate on product development. Other duties as assigned

WHAT DO YOU NEED?

We are seeking someone who has: 

5+ years of professional software development experience Strong object-oriented programming skills Experience with SQL, database design, and development Experience with external facing APIs and/or third-party platform integrations Experience with creating and maintaining unit tests

We would also love if you have some of the below: 

Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software design and integration Experience with financial accounting systems such as Dynamics GP/Great Plains Experience with payment processors such as Stripe, CardX, Elavon Converge, and Clover Experience with large-scale billing, invoice generation and credit card transactions Experience with hardware ordering systems or supply chain inventory management Experience working with international currencies Experience with shipping systems integrations such as FedEx or UPS Experience with tax applications such as Avalara
