Senior Software Engineer:

What You Will Do:

·     Work within the development team to extend and expand upon the features and capabilities of the Altair SLC Hub software products.

 Performance Areas

Be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for features within our products

Work with colleagues in the development team and other stake holders to understand and gather requirements as they arise

Transfer that understanding into well architected, scalable Golang coded solutions. This will be where most of your time will be spent.

Support the wider product team regarding software issues and questions that arise within the business and from customers

Work with the technical authoring team to aid their production of technical content

What You Will Need:

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, physics, computer science or other related discipline

Required:

Fluent in English

A minimum of 4 years of experience in Golang or other high-level language

Some of this experience should be in Golang, however an interest in Golang and experience with other programming languages such as C++, Python, Java is suitable.

Experience developing robust and scalable enterprise-grade code capable of processing large amounts of data

Logical problem-solving approach and the ability to clearly communicate the situation and proposed solution to the wider team

Experience using software design patterns

Preferred:

       A minimum of 6 years of experience in a software engineering environment is a plus Familiarity with any of the below:
  -Source control using Git
  -Jira for issue tracking
  -Bazel
  -Make Continuous Integration technologies such as Jenkins/GitLab CI Cross-platform development experience (Windows and linux) Experience with other programming languages such as C++, Python, Java Docker/k8s/Cloud Providers SQL Databases
