The Advisor Services Technology team is responsible for managing the entirety of our digital products designed specifically for to our Institutional and Independent Advisor clients. We are looking for a Senior Engineer of Software Development to work in our dynamic and collegiate team.
What you have 7+ years of full stack application development experience Bachelor's degree from 4-year accredited degree granting college or university is preferred, or equivalent experienceProven experience developing and implementing applications, particularly web-enabled applications using:Front End Technologies/Concepts: Angular and/or AngularJS, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, ASP.NET web forms, MVC, JSON/XML, Sync/ASync servicesBack End Technologies/Concepts: C#, ASP.NET, SOAP and RESTful API designDatabase Technologies/Concepts: Relational (SQL/Oracle) and Document Based (No-SQL/MongoDB) ArchitecturesEnvironment: Distributed Monolithic and Cloud Based Microservices (Private Cloud/Pivotal Cloud Foundry is strongly differentiating)Passion for enterprise-level agile developmentSolid understanding in web application environments and development tools, event-driven application development, session state management, web configuration and deployment strategies, security and performance tuning, and debugging methodologiesComfortable with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts, unit testing principles and implementations, API test automation techniques as well as automated deployment pipeline toolsExperience with Atlassian tool suite is strongly preferred: JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, BambooMust possess excellent verbal and written communication skillsEffective time management. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task effectivelyHave a passion for problem solving, the ability to quickly learn new concepts, and must be able to interact with all levels of technical and business teamsBe a team player, self-motivated and able to work collaboratively across organizations and geographic locationsProficient understanding of code versioning toolWhat You'll do:
Collaborate with AST team members in designing and developing technical solutions that meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong technology affinity and experience, as well as attention to detail:
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable front end and back end codeEnsure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applicationsIdentify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problemsCollaborate with the team to design, develop, unit test, and support new featuresProactively identify product/system enhancements which may improve tool appeal, process flow, and overall functionality and performance.Lead development of maintenance and enhancement work items, including performance tuning, testing, refactoring, usability, and automation.Champion/ensure adherence to coding, compliance, & security standards (including documenting functionality/recovery solutions).In addition to the salary range, this position is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
