Job Description

  

Job Summary:

The person taking this position will design, develop and test software for infrared camera systems working in a fast-paced team on the most popular infrared products in the world. The person in this role will be responsible for taking proposed algorithms and features and implementing them in software. The implementation will include coding, testing, documenting, and optimizing. This person will help specify tools, processes, and software designs used also.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Supporting infrared camera product lines with new software features and optimizations.
• Work will include one or more of the following:

Embedded software work in CImplementing Software Development Kits (SDKs) in C, C#, and/or Python used to communicate with our infrared camerasImplementing customer Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) in C# and/or Python used to configure our infrared camerasImplementing Linux device drivers to run on Nvidia and/or Qualcomm GPUs that communicate with our infrared cameras


Job Qualifications:


• Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee, or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce
• BS/MS or equivalent education in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or related scientific degree
• 5+ years experience in C programming in embedded systems with real-time requirements and/or C# programming and/or Linux drivers for Nvidia/Qualcomm
• Ability to understand both the hardware and software components of the embedded systems under development
• Excellent knowledge of hardware subsystems and common peripheral buses and interfaces I2C, SPI, USB, MIPI, FPDLink, etc. is helpful
• Ability to setup various embedded tool chains, build and debugging environments and use of debugging tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc. is very helpful
• High level understanding of image processing algorithms is helpful
• Ability to work unsupervised on challenging problems in cross functional teams
• Excellent verbal and written skills – especially the ability to distill complex technical details into documentation
• Superior problem-solving skills
• Experience working in collaborative, fast paced environments

Ability to succinctly present technical ideas in presentations

  

Salary Range:

$112,200.00-$150,260.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
