Senior Software Engineer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer. The Senior Software Engineer (SSE) will have a technical role in the team responsible for analysis, design & development of software for the strategic Testing & Monitoring solution for ITV, COO and other LOBs. This SSE will actively contribute to all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) from requirement gathering, design, development, testing and overall technical design, development using – SQL, CI/CD, DevOps tools, Documentum, Integration using Kafka topics, Liquibase for DB deployments.  The success of the role will require focusing on delivering the solution per requirements with a quick turnaround time and yet without any compromise on quality. This role will need a strong ability to work independently to complete design, development, and testing tasks as we develop partnerships and working closely with business teams, and technology groups to ensure delivery per requirements and alignment with technology standards and best practices.


In this role, you will:

Active contribution complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact.Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines.Engage with product owner to gather requirements, groom user stories and analyze source data sets for integration.Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors.Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiativesCollaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals


Required Qualifications:

4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.3+ years of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience2+ years of experience with registering new applications with necessary technology controls and application decommission.2+ years of experience with Agile project methodologies


Desired Qualifications:

3+ years of experience working on Software projects that support Financial Regulatory functions.2+ years of experience with JIRA to manage user stories & defects and for release planning.2+ years of SQL, Oracle PL/SQL experience with ability to run complex data analysis on relational databases.3+ years of experience performing a BA or QA role.3+ years of hands-on experience with various types of software testing including - scenario, regression, smoke, functional and non-functional testing.3+ years of experience setting up CI/CD and DevOps pipelines.3+ years of experience with REST APIs2+ years of experience on-boarding with cloud providersHands-on experience with requirement gathering, release planning, and documentation using JIRAAbility to implementation automation tools for software deploymentExperience coordinating testing and UAT activities across LOBsDocument and present test cases and test output to product ownerWork closely with technology managers, product owners, developers and other testers to design, implement, build and test the solutionAnalyzes complex requirements and translates to technical design and specificationsAnalysis of data to solve complex problems across various data sets.Work closely with project and other technology teams to understand requirements and overall architecture of the solution
