Responsibilities: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Research, design, develop, test, and deliver a full-stack, high-value, cloud-based Autodesk applications and experiences. Plan & design software applications for various interaction modes such as web, chat, and mobile. Engineer full-stack solutions using cloud services like Amazon Web Services to provide API-based implementation of business logic and data persistence. Ensure delivery of high-quality solutions by actively participating in quality assurance efforts. Provide technical leadership and mentor other members within the team. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and shared understanding of codebase, improve readability, efficiency, and maintainability. Collaborate with UX designers and product managers throughout the software development lifecycle. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders locally and across the globe. Participate in an agile-based development practice delivering value at high velocity. Write and maintain clear, concise technical documentation for the capabilities. Collaborate and coordinate with various teams to ensure reliable, secure, available, and scalable releases. Some telecommuting is permitted. 

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation. Some telecommuting is permitted. 

Special Requirements:

Position requires at least five (5) years of experience in each of the following skills:

Research, design, develop, test, and deliver a full-stack, high-value, cloud-based software applications for various interaction modes such as web, chat, and mobile

Develop, test & deliver features in software applications using Java or Javascript frameworks.

Position requires at least four (4) years of experience in each of the following skills:

Engineer full-stack solutions using cloud services like Amazon Web Services to provide API-based implementation of business logic and data persistence.

Collaborate with UX designers, product managers and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and shared understanding of codebase, improve readability, efficiency, and maintainability.

Organize QA (Quality assurance) and UAT (User acceptance testing) usecase plans, review, align and take actions based on the feedback provided by users/customers.

Salary transparency  

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $123,781 - $165,000/year. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
