**About the Role** The Uber Eats Delivery Search team enables best-in-class search experience for our customers. We help customers find exactly what they are looking for - store , dish or grocery items. The Search Backend team powers the end-to-end Search workflows. In this role, you will have to opportunity to engineer and productionize cutting-edge Search ML algos built by our peer ML team , You will also optimize the search stack so it runs efficiently at < 100ms latencies. You will work with the best minds in Search technology and work on features that bring delight to our customers' search experience. **What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points** \-\-\-\- What the Candidate Will Do ---- - You have knowledge of a backend stack (some examples include: GoLang, Java, Node.js, Python, Redis, Kafka, Golang or similar). - Ability to learn quickly on the go. GoLang, Java, Python, C#, C/C++) \-\-\-\- Preferred Qualifications ---- - Prior Search Technology experience. - Experience on GoLang, Java - Experience working on large scale distributed systems. - You have successfully developed and launched multiple products to production and have been around to stabilize the issues that only get revealed at scale in production.
