Responsibilities/Duties:   

Proven experience with Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs.Extensive experience in multithreading and concurrent programming in Java, including expertise in thread safety, synchronization, and working with the Java Concurrency API (e.g., `Future`, `CompletableFuture`, `Threading`).Proficiency in designing, managing, and optimizing relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, with experience in schema design, writing complex SQL queries, and ensuring data integrity and performance.Strong ability to learn and adapt quickly, with a demonstrated capacity for taking ownership of new features or projects with minimal requirements and translating vague or incomplete specifications into functional software solutions.Hands-on experience with message-based systems and event-driven architectures.Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (EC2, SQS, S3, EKS).Familiarity with Agile development and CI/CD methodologies, including tools such as Jenkins, IntelliJ, Git, and Docker.Expertise in working with relational, NoSQL, and file-based storage solutions.Proficiency in Java Security and Cryptography, with experience in PKI Certificates.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience in developing applications that process Geographic Information System (GIS) and weather data, including familiarity with geospatial libraries (e.g., GeoTools, JTS) and data formats like NetCDF, GRIB, and shapefiles for weather and environmental modeling.Proven ability to work on highly transactional and concurrent systems, demonstrating expertise in designing and implementing scalable, robust solutions** capable of handling large volumes of data and concurrent user interactions.Experience with Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP) for developing modular desktop applications, including customization of Eclipse-based applications and developing custom views, editors, and perspectives.
