What we’re looking for:

We’re seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer who will produce and implement functional software solutions. In this role you will join a team of seasoned web application developers in building the next generation of ground-breaking healthcare application supporting both our clinical processes and engaging consumers in their healthcare journey. Individuals in this role will have the opportunity to make a tangible contribution.

We’re looking for an individual who will immediately become a key member of the team. You’ll play a role in the continued development of our core application as we add new features and grow our customer base. Upon joining the company, you’ll be expected to contribute to design decisions and produce simple and elegant working code.

In this role, you will:

Work collaboratively with developers, business analysts, designers, and other team membersDevelop and implement moderate to complex web applications on one or more platformsTranslate application storyboards and use cases into functional web applications/toolsEnsure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of the applicationsIdentify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to these problemsHelp maintain code quality, organization and automationImprove operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in proceduresParticipate actively in the Agile process as an engaged team memberEnsure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies


What this role requires:

7+ years of proven progressive experience as a Software EngineerBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldSolid understanding of object-oriented programmingFlexibility with Agile software development methodologiesFamiliarity with various design and architectural patternsExperience with Struts, Hibernate, JQuery, Apache, Tomcat, and MySQL is essentialExpert knowledge of Java and other Object Oriented languagesBasic understanding of JVM, its limitations, weaknesses and workaroundsImplementing automated testing platforms and unit testsProficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as SVN, GitSolid experience with security best practices (i.e.: reCAPTHA, OAuth, OWASP Top 10)Familiarity with containerizationProven understanding of AWS technologiesStrong written and oral communication skillsDemonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in an environment with changing demandsExperience in Micro-Services architectures and API creationAbility to understand and think like the consumers of our product

The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000 and is determined by a number of factors including the candidate's experience, qualifications and skills.
