The Red Hat Observability Intelligence team is looking for a Software engineer to join us in the EMEA time zone. You will develop and maintain data pipelines and transform existing tooling to new technologies according to ever evolving data requirements. Communication with other Red Hat engineering teams will be an essential part of your job.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Develop and maintain internal data processing pipelines
Contribute to Proof of Concepts
Perform peer code reviews
Transform existing tooling to new technologies (Data Mesh, Dbt, Five Tran, Snowflake)
Required Skills
3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
Comfortable working in an environment requiring cross-team collaboration
Working knowledge of Python
Open mind and a desire to learn interesting data engineering technologies like Airflow, Tekton, Data Mesh, Snowflake
Good verbal and written communication skills
The following are considered a plus:
Basic concepts of Data analysis and Visualization
Knowledge of Jupyter notebooks
Familiarity with architecture or operations of Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift 4
Basic knowledge of PromQL
