Role, mission & context
As the Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead, you will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of application development, from design to maintenance and support. Your expertise in the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform framework and its development processes will be essential in delivering high-quality solutions. To excel in this role, you should have a deep understanding of AEM, proficiency in a relevant technology or business solution/process, and a solid grasp of the agile methodology.
What you will do
You will be a key domain expert responsible for establishing common ways of working and implementing industry-standard methods and best practices. Your role will involve close collaboration with stakeholders across the Volvo Group, leading and supporting the development team to ensure the successful delivery of Adobe initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the team of talented Adobe engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure their daily deliveries, conduct thorough code reviews, and assist in overcoming challenges on assignments.
• Develop and test features according to the requirement, using appointed tools and technologies, keeping priority, quality, cost, and timeline in mind.
• Design, develop, collaborate, implement the development tasks/activities on a daily and regular basis to create an efficient work delivery.
• Cooperate with multiple stakeholders including Business Analysts, Architects, Digital Product Owners.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, demos and retrospectives) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Guide team to effectively specify requirements and perform system analysis.
• Lead team to build, release and deploy on test environments. Follow all coding/testing guidelines and best practices.
• Branching and merging to version control systems like TFS and GIT.
• Support implementations/rollouts of new features/issue fixes/enhancements in non-prod/prod environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for AEM solutions and processes.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with the latest AEM features and industry trends to continuously improve our AEM implementations
As Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead you are a team player, self-driven, and have a problem-solving mindset. Since you are part of a global team, with global responsibilities, you will need to actively cooperate and communicate with various stakeholders and navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment.
Required competencies :
• Relevant university degree (bachelor’s or master’s degree).
• Solid performance working as an AEM Senior Software Engineer and Tech lead.
• High interpersonal skills, effective communication and collaboration in a team, and accountability for tasks and deliveries.
• Complete proficiency in English.
• Strong software development experience in AEM. Familiar with development and the concept of Sites, pages, Archetype, Sling, Template, HTL, JavaScript, CSS, docker container, and Adobe Clouds (Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud).
• Full-Stack experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (React, Angular is a plus)
• Continuous improvement mindset, excelling in collaborative work environments, self-driven studying abilities, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• 5-8 years of experience in AEM technologies.
• Certification in Adobe Experience Manager is a plus.
• English language proficiency is required.
