Job Description
The Launch and Missile Defense Systems division is seeking multiple levels of Software Engineers with algorithm or data set experience. This role offers rewarding work that contributes to the latest advancements in the missile defense industry. The position is located in Boulder, CO, nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and only 25 miles from downtown Denver.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop, analyze, test, and implement extendable/reusable algorithms to improve state estimation and backend processes.Provide documentation to support tracking algorithms, including observation models, propagation models, and filters/smoothers.Apply mathematics to perform data analysis and algorithm development for military applications.Develop and perform analysis of tracking and state estimation algorithms.Create tools and prototypes using Modern C and Python.Track and resolve algorithm defects.Produce technical documentation as required.Essential SkillsExperience with C and C++ development (minimum 4 years).Strong background in algorithm design and state estimation.Proficiency in data analysis, including population statistics and trend identification.Ability to bridge theoretical concepts and practical implementation.Experience with numerical computing, numerical linear algebra, differential equations, optimization (combinatorial and non-linear), and statistics.Linux exposure and working knowledge of common utilities like grep, awk, cat, and head.Active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application with the ability to obtain and maintain an SCI.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a STEM field and 5 years of related experience (or a Master's + 3 years, or 1 year with a PhD).or) Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field and 8 years of related experience (or Master's degree + 6 years, or 4 years with a PhD).Strong statistical background and skills.Experience in tracking and prediction algorithms, simulation, and validation.Experience with multiple hypothesis tracking.Experience with the numerical implementation of motion filters.Familiarity with Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) and Electro-Optical Infrared (EOIR) sensors and simulations is a plus.Experience with containerization.Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80.00 - $100.00
