As a result, our customers are better served. **Responsibilities** **Responsibilities:** ​​As an engineer in the Hyperscale team in Azure SQL Database, you will work on the latest technology in compute and storage, apply innovative algorithms for solving database, computing, and storage problems at scale and with high performance. We need collaborative developers who can think big and find creative ways to meet these challenges. As a technical lead, you will get to mentor and lead a group of engineers and drive the team effort to success. You will get to work with technical experts across the globe, acquire and pass on the knowledge to other engineers in the team. You will demonstrate strong customer empathy and participate in live site rotations to mitigate and resolve the challenges faced by customers. Come join us in the Azure Data SQL India team! ​ Embody our culture (https://careers.microsoft.com/v2/global/en/culture) and values (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/about/corporate-values) **Qualifications** Qualifications : Required/Minimum Qualifications ​​• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or mathematics • 8+ years of experience working in the System design and development space. • Proficient in C\C+• Hands on experience in troubleshooting, debugging complex problems. • Self-driven, results oriented, ability to work collaboratively and provide technical leadership \ guidance to junior engineers. Preferred/Additional Qualifications ​​• Experience with relational database internals and storage systems • Experience with large scale distributed systems, multithreading and concurrency management • Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills • Proven experience in improving product quality and reliability. • Good knowledge in the software release process and automation. • Torch bearer for good engineering practices such as specs, code reviews, root cause analysis process etc Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
