**Senior Software Engineer** Senior Software Engineer for Ankeny, IA to design, develop & implement software solutions for workflow automation; gather & understand software requirements and analyze operational feasibility of proposed solutions; write code based on hardware, software & machine-operator specifications; troubleshoot & debug software on proprietary mechanical systems; document solutions using unit testing & version control methodologies; perform system analysis to recommend improvements to internal stakeholders; contribute to development of software maintenance procedures. Requires Master’sin C.S., Computer Engineering, Informatics or closely-related field & 2 yrs experience developing software applications in Python, JavaScript and Svelte; working with object-oriented design patterns & application architecture; designing, developing & implementing distributed and/or scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications for automated system integration; supporting the full software development lifecycle, including conception, architecture definition, design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing, documentation, & delivery; performing unit testing & version control using Git; performing peer code reviews in accordance with PEP-8 coding guidelines; applying usability design techniques to implement distributed & scalable systems with high-volume transaction applications for automated system integration; using Docker to deploy full-stack Python applications; designing & implementing APIs to distribute data to cloud-based applications & services using Google Cloud and/or AWS; designing & developing APIs to publish data to cloud platforms using Flask/FastAPI; designing & implementing single page web applications in a Linux environment; performing continuous integration, testing & delivery using GitHub CI/CD; and deploying applications to remote machines using Docker. Will also accept Bachelor’s in said fields & 5 yrs progressive post-Bachelor’s stated experience. Up to 5%U.S. and/or int’l travel req’d.
