Position: Senior Software Engineer

Duties: Guide and participate in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information; writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs; interacting with project manager to provide input on project plan; and providing leadership to the project team. Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues; formulating an action plan; performing actions as designated in the plan; interpreting the results to determine further action; performs root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues; and completing online documentation. Provide support to the business by responding to users’ questions, concerns, and issues (for example, technical feasibility, implementation strategies); identifying short- and long-term solutions; facilitating resolutions; and leading cross-functional partnership. Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Design and develop web applications by incorporating the latest technologies such as Spring Boot Framework, Redis session management, Google Cloud Platform, Cloud SQL, Splunk log monitoring, Pub/Sub, Kubernetes, Apache Airflow, Java, Python, and other specific tasks.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.
Skills required: Experience designing and implementing REST API web services using JAVA. Experience coding in object-oriented programming languages including Java, Python, and C++. Experience with Google Cloud platform. Experience with SQL, PL-SQL, and scripting languages. Experience designing and testing Relational Database Management Systems including DB2, JDBC, Oracle, and MySQL. Experience with Spring Boot Framework, Spring, and MVC. Experience designing and optimizing Database Data flow using normalization theories. Experience with Pub/Sub and Redis session management. Experience guiding team members and reviewing code changes. Experience designing and implementing jobs using Cron job schedulers and Apache Airflow. Experience with data structure and algorithms. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $150,762/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
