The Red Hat Cost Management team seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join our Cost Management service development team. In this role, you will be key in delivering FinOps Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions on console.redhat.com.

**What you will do:**
+ Design, develop, and enhance software solutions based on customer requirements, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, quality engineers, documentation teams, and stakeholders to deliver innovative and effective solutions.
+ Enhance CI/CD pipelines, implementing best practices to optimize deployment and integration processes.
+ Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and constructive feedback.
+ Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, bridging technical and non-technical discussions to align goals.
+ Drive process improvements within the team, optimizing workflows, task prioritization, and overall efficiency
**What you will bring:**
+ Advanced SQL expertise, query optimization, and performance scaling in large, complex relational database
+ Python application developer in a Kubernetes environment and experience in architecting and developing cloud-native, containerized applications.
+ Familiar with CI/CD best practices
+ Experienced Model-View-Controller (MVC) API developer proficient in Python, Golang, or similar languages.
+ Strong leadership and communication skills
+ Familiar with Agile development practices
+ Passion for continuous learning and innovation
**Considered a Plus**
+ Experience with modern frameworks and tools, including Django, Celery, Kafka, Redis, RDS (PostgreSQL), or Trino.
+ Familiarity with leading cloud platforms, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure,, or Red Hat OpenShift.
+ Expertise in data architecture, focusing on scaling large datasets efficiently and optimizing performance.
+ Red Hat OpenShift operator development experience
+ Experience with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) operations, including deployment, monitoring, and performance tuning in cloud environments.
+ Engagement with open-source communities and familiarity with open-source development methodologies and best practices.
The salary range for this position is $116,270.00 - $191,840.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
**Pay Transparency**
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
