Senior Software Engineer

Work with senior architects to develop plans/modifications based on roadmap needs as well as customer requests. Map out plans for proof of concepts, minimal viable product, and future enhancements with timelines and impact to cross team collaborators.

*Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Red Hat, Inc. office in Boston, MA.

What You Will Do:

Work with senior architects, field engineers, and other teams as needed to deliver software designs.Lead the platform efforts for the product working cross functionally to ensure scalability, security, and requirements are met.Perform install and upgrade testing and automation. Improve the quality of the product, addressing tech debt, as well as ensure new requests for hardware and OCP deployments are met.

What You Will Bring:

Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related role.Must have three (3) years of experience with: using CI/CD best practices to develop and deliver solutions; and presenting at OpenShift/Kubernetes, and AI/ML related technology conferences and internally within the AI/ML communities of practice.Must have two (2) years of experience with: contributing to architecture and design of RHOAI, and providing input to elevate the platform and user experience; leading the development of new platform technologies and solutions for RHOAI; participating in upstream communities to ensure that the applications to deploy and manage ML workloads work on OpenShift and can be integrated with RHOAI; working with open source communities to evaluate new AI, ML and big data technologies and create examples of integrations between their technology and RHOAI; and mentoring and guiding other engineers.

The salary range for this position is $172,744 - $220,680. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
