Job Summary:
Senior Software Engineer contributes to design, development, and deployment of a Caterpillar state-of-the-art digital platform used for Condition Monitoring of Caterpillar machines.
What you will do:
Designing, developing, and implementing software programming applications for target system using agile methods; normally assigned the more complex aspects of systems work.Writing source codes for new applications and/or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications.Working directly on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution.Working independently on complex systems or infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems.Mentoring and assisting software engineers, providing technical assistance and direction as needed.Maintaining high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.Identifying and encouraging areas for growth and improvement within the team.Guiding the team to develop a structured application/interface code, new program documentation, and operations documentation in a flexible environment.Communicating with end users and internal customers to help direct development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness.Performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

$110,520.00 - $179,640.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
