As a Senior Software Engineer at Tanium, you will take ownership of designing, developing, testing, and deploying services written in Golang using ClickHouse. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in ensuring our services meet the highest standards of performance, security, and scalability. 

What You’ll Do: 

Build a high-performance data platform capable of handling large volumes of data in real time Write services to manage and provision ClickHouse instances efficiently in multi-tenant cloud environments Write and optimize complex Clickhouse queries Work with various server-side technologies, persistent data stores, caches, and messaging systems Create automated unit tests, API tests, integration tests, and ensure quality delivery Author technical documentation and artifacts for the developed software 

 

We’re Looking for Someone With: 

Education 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience CS Degree or related technical field preferred 

Experience 

5+ years industry experience with analytical databases, 7+ preferred Software development experience in Go (preferred), Rust or Java Experience with cloud technologies (i.e., AWS and Azure) Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm Charts, CloudFormation) 

Other 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – being able to learn what the requirements are and being able to apply them Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Commitment to writing automated tests as an integral part of the development process Knowledge of a variety of modern backend software frameworks and the versatility to learn new tools and languages
