What You Will Do:

·     Work within the development team to extend and expand upon the features and capabilities of the Altair SLC Hub software products.

 Performance Areas

Be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for features within our productsWork with colleagues in the development team and other stake holders to understand and gather requirements as they ariseTransfer that understanding into well architected, scalable Golang coded solutions. This will be where most of your time will be spent.Support the wider product team regarding software issues and questions that arise within the business and from customersWork with the technical authoring team to aid their production of technical content

 

What You Will Need:

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, physics, computer science or other related discipline

Required: 

Fluent in EnglishA minimum of 4 years of experience in Golang or other high-level languageSome of this experience should be in Golang, however an interest in Golang and experience with other programming languages such as C++, Python, Java is suitable.Experience developing robust and scalable enterprise-grade code capable of processing large amounts of dataLogical problem-solving approach and the ability to clearly communicate the situation and proposed solution to the wider teamExperience using software design patterns

Preferred:

       A minimum of 6 years of experience in a software engineering environment is a plusFamiliarity with any of the below:
  -Source control using Git
  -Jira for issue tracking
  -Bazel
  -MakeContinuous Integration technologies such as Jenkins/GitLab CICross-platform development experience (Windows and linux)Experience with other programming languages such as C++, Python, JavaDocker/k8s/Cloud ProvidersSQL Databases
