PE: software engineer with 7+ years of experience in Java, Spring boot, SQL, CICD, Kafka, Cloud technologies, UNIX, Python.

 

PE is majorly an ETL application based in Datastage with lot of complex ETL logic. Database is Oracle. We are using TWS as Scheduler. We need someone who can help modernize the application to newer technologies.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Requirement analysis Design, implement and maintain Java application within all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Develop, test, implement and maintain application software working with established processes Communicate effectively with other engineers and QA Establish, refine and integrate development and test environment tools and software as needed Identify production and non-production application issues Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications of Java developed projects CICD implementation or integration Provide technical support and consultation for Java application and infrastructure questions Serve as a mentor to less experienced Developers Deployment/Post deployment and maintenance Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

Graduate in Computer Science Degree Cloud experience in Open Shift or Kubernetes or Public cloud Knowledge of Java, Spring boot Microservices using Maven Knowledge of UNIX and ETL process Knowledge of Streaming technologies: Apache Kafka, KSQL Knowledge of Database - Oracle, SQL, PL SQL, MySQL Knowledge of CICD tools - Jenkins Knowledge of Versioning tools - Github

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Hands-on on below technologies and other opensource software/tools Knowledge of Python Knowledge of Monitoring tools like - Grafana Knowledge of Agile - DevOps, Scrum, CA Rally Knowledge of Front-end technologies like Angular and ReactJs United States Health insurance domain knowledge
