We are looking for Software Engineers with senior experience, who are excited to be part of a team building modern Cloud technology, and shaping the future of our product. In the Nutanix DB Team, we are tackling the most challenging problems in Database Engine and Service layers that will utilize the full power of Private and Public Clouds (Nutanix Cloud, AWS, Azure, etc.). 

 

About the Team

Nutanix Database Service (NDB) is a DBaaS (Database as a Service) product for on-premise Nutanix customers. The product is expanding to a Hybrid Multi Cloud Solution with a scalable architecture. The NDB engineering team is distributed across Serbia, USA, and India. If the idea of starting small and building big excites you, you will be a good fit for this team. With NDB, you'll find no shortage of challenging problems to work on. We work closely across our team in a collaborative environment that encourages the open exploration of ideas.

Your Role

Take part in architecting, designing, and building core components of the Nutanix Database Service (NDB).Drive the design for scalable, modular, and extensible components and define future technical vision for the product.Develop a deep understanding of customer use cases and design innovative solutions for customer requirements.Work closely with tech leads, engineers, and product management to deliver high-quality features in a fast-paced environment.Work closely with the UX team to provide a simple and delightful experience for customers.Collaborate with other product architects at Nutanix and ensure alignment with the overall Nutanix vision.Coach/Mentor Engineers in the team to enable them to grow to the next level.

 

What You Will Bring

5+ years of developing highly scalable and available software. Experience working with the compute/storage services of Azure, AWS, GCP.Experience architecting SaaS applications running on public cloud infrastructure.Experience working with databases (Postgres, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB).Experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, Go, PythonFamiliarity with containers and Kubernetes.  Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.· 

This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
