**PNP (Personalized Notification Platform) is a notification platform** which is responsible for delivering millions of notifications to global users of various Microsoft products (e.g. MSN APP, Bing APP, Edge mobile browser etc.). To provide the best experience to users around the world, we built a large-scale distributed system to ensure the delivery success rate and latency, and to solve the challenges of sending large volume of notifications every day. **Now we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our fun and challenging journey.** As a member of the team, you'll have the opportunity to shape the design of notification system of millions of users every day. You will face the challenges of availability, scalability and latency of large-scale distributed systems, and work in a fast-paced environment with our talents around the world. **Responsibilities** As a Senior Software Engineer, you will + Design and implement the notification system to ensure availability, scalability and latency. + Work with Devs and PMs in different countries to achieve fast collaboration and agile development. + Monitor and optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues to improve system stability. + Practice engineering excellence in the whole development cycle of design, code review, unit testing, etc. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related is required. + A strong background in software engineering with 5 years' experience. Experience in mobile notification platform is preferred. + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and outside the box. + Solid coding skills: Hands on experience with at least one programming language such as C#/Java/C++. Familiarity with C# programming is preferred. + Familiarity with modern web technologies such as message queues, distributed cache systems and experience in developing large-scale web applications. + Motivated and able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team setting to resolve challenging problems.
