Team you will be working with: Receive Accounts

TEAM BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The receive accounts expansion team is a global product team working to make it fast, convenient and reliable for customers to receive bank transfers in any currency, anywhere. We do this by building new products and features as well as working to reduce the friction our existing customers have receiving into Wise. We are proud to support  11+ local account details and 26 global account details and support our regional teams to ensure these details are as convenient as possible to our customers.  

What does it take?

A strong product mindset and passion for user experience, you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data-driven decisions to fix customer pain-points

Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical audiencesAbility to work independently while also being a good team player. Your work will frequently involve cross-team collaboration.Ability to break down complex projects into incremental milestones that deliver customer valueExperience in developing web applications and distributed systems in a production environmentExperience with common design and architectural patterns coupled with a passion for writing clean code that is performant and well tested Curiosity and drive for continuous learning and improvementFollowing and advocating best coding practices, continuous delivery and code reviewsExperience working with relational and non-relational databases, query optimisation and designing schemas is a plusKnowledge of Java and Spring boot and experience with a messaging system, like Kafka, is a plus... but don’t worry we don’t expect you to know everything!
