Senior Software Engineer - RPA (Remote)
Work Flexibility: Remote

What You Will Do:

 The RPA Software Engineer is responsible for automating business processes through the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of RPA bots while ensuring that the solution is robust, secure, efficient, and scalable. They must be proficient in programming, automation tools, testing, and troubleshooting to successfully deliver automation solutions.

Design & Development & Deployment

Process Analysis: Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to identify automation opportunities by analyzing current business processes and workflows. Estimate project timeline and development efforts.Design: Serve as the RPA architect by designing, developing, testing, and deploying end-to-end automations using UiPath robotic process automation (RPA) software, in accordance with industry standards and best practices. Design scalable, efficient, and secure RPA solutions based on the process requirements, ensuring that the solution aligns with business requirements.Development: Build and configure RPA bots to automate repetitive and manual tasks, ensuring reliability, efficiency, scalability, and maintainability. Follow RPA development best practices, including version control, modular development, and efficient use of resources. Integrate RPA bots with external systems, databases, APIs, and web services to automate complex workflows and data exchanges between applications. Write custom code (e.g., in C#, VB.NET, or Python) when necessary for more complex automation scenarios that cannot be easily achieved with out-of-the-box RPA capabilities.Deployment: Set up and configure development, testing, and production environments for RPA bots. Deploy RPA bots to production environments, ensuring the automation works seamlessly in the live environment. Provide Hypercare support for production deployment of RPA bots.

Maintenance & Optimization

Maintenance: Provide full operational support for all RPA bots in the Trauma & Extremities division, including performance monitoring, incident response and recovery, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.Optimization: Regularly evaluate automated processes and workflows for areas of improvement, aiming to optimize efficiency, reduce errors, and minimize operational costs, and maintenance efforts.

Collaboration with Stakeholders

Requirements Gathering: Work closely with business analysts, process owners, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and objectives and translate them into automated solutions.User Training & Support: Provide training to end-users on new RPA solutions and provide ongoing support to ensure automation tools are used effectively.

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline2+ years of professional work experienceStrong experience with UiPath

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or similar platformExperience with ERPs (specifically SAP and Oracle)Familiarity with AI & ML conceptsRPA certification (e.g., UiPath Certified Professional or Automation Anywhere Certified Advanced RPA Professional)Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, VB.NET, Python, or Java, SQL, APIs

$87k - $186k salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
